Primal Fear is a massive dino mod for the game ARK: Survival Evolved. This mod adds varying tameable tiers of dinos, as well as special boss dinos. Currently, you can tame Toxics, Alpha's, Apex, Fabled, Omega, Buffoon, Celestial, Demonic, Elder, and Elemental. The bosses include Primal, Origin, and the Creator. Toxic, Alpha, Apex, and Fabled dinos are math based, and are 3x, 5x, 10x 16x vanilla stats. Almost every creature has an alpha variant. Apex variants are carnivorous fighters, and Fabled variants are passive work horses.
On top of custom creatures, players can look forward to exclusive items, a tiered taming system and unique resources only found in Primal Fear.
This mod is still a work in progress so more info and creatures will be added in the future.

- Primal Fear Tribute Mod: The Tribute Mod was made to be home to any tribute creatures for Patreon donations without the need to update Primal Fear main.
- Primal Fear Unofficial Dodo Expansion The Unofficial Dodo Expansion was made to add a little bit of fun to your server by adding Chaos and Spirit Dodos to your world. You DO need Primal Fear to use this mod.
- Primal Fear| Unofficial Extras The Unofficial Extras Mod was made by Viral to add more creatures, items and experiences to Primal Fear. There are also bug fixes built into the mod to fix problems within the official mod. You DO need Primal Fear to run this mod.
The following list of mods are ones we believe will help enhance your Primal Fear game play.
- Dino Storage V2 by Lethal: We recommend this mod to help with server performance and to keep all your creatures stored in one simple system. With automation kibble farms are a breeze and your gameplay is smoother with the reduction of lag due to no massive buildings or mass amounts of creatures in one spot for the same result.
- Simple Spawners by darklore: This mod comes in handy when you aren't seeing some PF creatures due to missing map spawners, or there just isn't enough danger in your life. Simple Spawners give server admins the ability to add custom spawners around the map to add creatures, resources and more to either a localized area or globally.
- Eternal Primal Fear Spawn Compatibility by Zythara: This mod is to be used ONLY when using both Eternal and Primal Fear so that the spawn systems work together and that the mods don't override each others' spawns. Important!!! Keep in mind that using this mod is generally designed for a sandbox experience rather than for progression. It won't solve spawning issues with too few dinos for each mod!

Nova the Destroyer is a freak of nature in Ark, a fierce hybrid of a dodorex and a reaper. Survivors are in for a world of pain battling this tier 5 boss. This monstrosity has three unique AOE attacks and swarms of overgrown Seeker minions. If you survive long enough to kill it you are rewarded with special loot and a fertilized egg to make this boss your own.
PATCH
- Updated colossus bosses to finally fix them freezing mid fight (really hopeful this time)
- Fixed Pikkon's Revenge to properly depower Celestials and Demonics on minion spawns. Temporary effect. Stay away when it looks up to roar.
- Updated rotation rate to all colossus bosses
- Health potion updates:
Stew: 2% health / instantly Alpha: 4% health / duration unchanged Apex: 6% health / duration unchanged Fabled: 8% health / duration unchanged Primal: 10% health / duration unchanged
- Fabled Grifficorn healing updated. Now gives healing buff your tamed dinos, no need for pvp enabled. Heals 25% health for 20 seconds
- Demonic Daeodon can apply an AOE heal with left control. Heals 15% health over 45 seconds.
- Player armor stats heavily buffed

- Tarantulas now 100% chance give bio virus. Bio virus indefinitely. Effects reduced, halves stamina and health, and reduces by 0.1 every second. Increase torpidity by 1 every second. Must take antidote to cure yourself.
- Omega instant heal base amount doubled
- Omega instant heal AOE range doubled
- Grifficorn and daeodon will heal automatically with no rider too. Help promote taking armies into fights.
- Fixed demonic Daeodon power up animation loop causing the pig to get stuck
- Add healing to Fallen demonic Daeodon
- Removed new Daeodon healing from wild versions
- Fixed Primal Tek Parasaur health (base 2k --> 20k)
- Added Rider protection to all Primal Teks (Reminder. Only protections against direct, physical damage)
- Primal Tek Bleed effect overhaul (Think Elden Ring bleeding). ALL BOSSES ARE SUBJECT TO BLEED OUT, THEY ARE NOT IMMUNE
Default 40% gnash attack removed All primal teks apply a bleed build up buff Standard enemies take 10 bleed up buffs to bleed out for 15% health loss Any creatures (non bosses) that have reduced damage intake take more bleed buffs to yield a bleed out All bosses require significantly more attacks to initiate a bleed out Bleed out buffs dissipate after 12 seconds individually More Primal Teks attacking a target will yield a bleed out quicker
- Removed elder and alpha otter helmet visibility due to weird placement
- Omega dinos will now user their heal as an attack by themselves, applying instant healing to all allies near by

- Allowing Spirit and Chaos buff stacking up to 4x
